By the end of the video, it became so much more as we explored each scene it became about transsexual women and it became about making fun of American hallmarks like soda cans and cigarettes and mayonnaise and bread.”
Realmente creo en el poder de lo visual y a veces me vienen visiones y siento que tengo que hacerlas realidad. No importa demasiado si tienen sentido o no. Al acabar video, vimos que había mucho más detrás de cada escena… se traducía en algo sobre mujeres transexuales y en burlarse de los distintivos americanos como latas de refresco, cigarros, pan de sándwich y mayonesa.

La verdad… ¡no lo sé! De hecho Pérez (HILTON) estaba muy entusiasmado con la idea de una trilogía, después de ver el video él ya estaba diciendo ‘’Tiene que tener tres partes’’ y yo no estaba muy segura en ese momento y entonces él me presiono hasta el límite…

“We’re not competitive at all, we’re so different, we respect each other so much and she’s so kind and we really get along. She was so courageous in this video. She trusted me because she likes my work she knew that I love her and it’s a mutual respect. It ended up being a masterpiece because she was so courageous, but I’m sure you can imagine it’s a bit daunting sometimes.
No somos competencia para nada, somos muy diferentes, nos respetamos la una a la otra muchísimo, ella es muy buena persona y nos llevamos muy bien. Beyoncé ha sido muy valiente en este video. Ella confió en mí porque le gusta mi trabajo y sabe que ella me encanta… es respeto mutuo. Todo esto ha acabado en una obra maestra porque ella ha sido muy valiente pero está claro que como imaginareis a veces es un poco intimidante…
